Job summary

Re:Build Manufacturing seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise IT systems across a multi-site manufacturing environment. The role is hands-on and senior, owning operational issues and leading modernization and delivery across hybrid and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues.
• 5+ years hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and resolve Tier 3 incidents involving hardware, software, identity, endpoints, and infrastructure.
• Monitor system health, diagnose root causes, and implement permanent fixes to maintain uptime.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise initiatives, including migrations, new implementations and upgrades.
• Design, configure, upgrade, manage, and solve systems across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Mentor and support other IT and technology teams across the organization.

Who we are looking for

The Senior Systems Engineer designs, implements, secures, and supports enterprise IT systems across amulti-site manufacturing environment. This is ahands-on senior rolerequiring deep technical expertise, strong operational ownership, and effective partnership with business and technical teams.

The role owns resolving operational issues while also leading infrastructure modernization and enterprise delivery initiatives across hybrid and cloud environments.

• Serve as thefinal resolution pointfor complex, high-impact technical issues.
• Leadend-to-end deliveryof enterprise initiatives, including system migrations, new implementations, upgrades, and modernization efforts.
• Design, configure, upgrade, manage, and solve systems acrosson-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Partner with collaborators to gather requirements, design solutions, implement changes, document outcomes, and complete operational handoff.
• Establish and enhance standard processes forsystem design, testing, implementation, security, and operational support.

Cloud, Identity & Collaboration

• Design and support solutions acrossMicrosoft Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365within hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• AdministerMicrosoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), identity governance, and MFA.
• Support Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity services includingTeams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online,Intune, andDefender.
• Integrate identity and access controls acrossAzure, AWS, and on-premises environments, supporting secure authentication, authorization, and least-privilege access.
• Lead cloud and collaboration migrations, includingon-premises to cloud,tenant-to-tenant, and post-acquisition integrations.

Endpoint, Server & Core Infrastructure

• Administer and supportWindows 10 and Windows 11 enterprise endpoint environments, including mixed or partially migrated deployments.
• Design, monitor and supportWindows Server environments up to and including Windows Server 2022.
• SupportActive Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificates, and core identity services.
• Administer virtualization platforms includingVMware and Hyper‑V.
• Design and supporthybrid architecturesspanning on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms.
• Work withinmulti-forest Active Directory,multi-tenant Microsoft 365, andmulti-cloud environments(Azure, AWS, VMware).
• Partner with software development and digital teams to ensure infrastructure enables secure, scalable solutions.

Networking & Security

• Design and support network infrastructure includingfirewalls, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, and access points.
• Administer and supportFortinet network and security equipment.
• Implement security-first architectures aligned withZero Trust principles.
• Support regulated environments includingMicrosoft 365 GCC High,Azure Government, andAWS GovCloud.
• Participate in environments whereFedRAMP and other regulatory requirementsmay apply.
• Drive automation and scripting to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
• Create and maintainStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs),knowledge base articles, andfixing guides.
• Provide clear ticket communication and technical guidance to collaborators.
• Mentor and support other IT and technology teams across the organization.

What you bring to the Team

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ yearsdelivering enterprise IT solutions end-to-end.
• 7+ yearsdiagnosing and resolving complex IT issues.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments.
• Hands-on experience supportingWindows 10 and Windows 11 enterprise environments, including upgrade planning and mixed deployments.
• Experience handlingWindows Server environments up to Server 2022.
• Deep experience withMicrosoft 365, including Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, and Exchange.
• Strong experience withActive Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificates, and hybrid identity.
• Experience designing and supportinghybrid, multi-forest, multi-tenant, and multi-cloud architectures.
• Hands-on experience supporting regulated government cloud environments, including Microsoft 365 GCC High, Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, and environments aligned to FedRAMP and/or ITAR requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document clearly.
• Strong experience in prioritizing leading competing workstreams.

Preferred

• Experience withFortinetnetworking and security equipment.
• Exposure toOT networkingin manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity withITIL processes.
• Exposure toCAD systemssuch as SolidWorks.

Location and Work Week: Hybrid Work Week 3 days in / 2 days remote onsite at one of our Re:Build locations.
