Job summary

Belay Technologies invites a Systems Engineer to join our intel team in the Baltimore/Washington area, based in Columbia, Maryland. You will analyze requirements, lead design activities, and develop system architecture and test plans, working closely with government stakeholders to ensure technical integrity.

The role requires a top-level security clearance (TS/SCI with polygraph) and advanced engineering education with relevant experience, in a DoD-centric environment.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Education credentials required range from HS diploma with experience to PhD in engineering with related years of experience.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in a qualified engineering field with corresponding years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements, CONOPs documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
• Lead design and development activities; provide technical leadership for integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Develop system architecture/design documentation and planning for system engineering management plans and system integration/test plans.
• Interact with Government to address technical considerations and issues; ensure technical integrity of work and deliverables.

Education

TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph

High School Diploma or GED + 12 years experience in systems engineering

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Field + 7 years experience

Master’s degree in Engineering Field + 5 years experience

PhD in Engineering Field + 3 years experience

You will analyze user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities. Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. Develops technical documentation. Develops system Architecture and system design documentation. Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

• TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
• A High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general system engineering experience. OR
• A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of systems engineering experience. OR
• A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience. OR
• A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience

Salary Range: $168,000 to $240,000
