Job summary

STEELGATE LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support ARCYBER’s Technical Warfare Center at Ft. Gordon, GA. The role requires Top Secret/SCI clearance, on-site work, and extensive IT experience to develop architectures for cyber training ranges.

The candidate will design and evaluate systems across their lifecycle, participate in design reviews and test plans, and work with DoD cybersecurity and RMF processes to ensure mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Required: DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
• Top Secret SCI Clearance
• Total IT experience: 8+ years with a master’s, 10+ years with a bachelor’s, 16+ years with a high school diploma
• Experience with closed-loop environment networks for cyber training, test and experimentation
• Understanding of virtualization, containers, cloud and distributed computing
• Understanding of WAN, encryption and MPLS
• Knowledge of business process analysis and process improvement
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Familiarity with US Army operations, Joint and DoD organizations and United States Cyber Command
• Familiarity with system, network and enterprise architecture
• 8+ years Windows or Linux system administration
• 6+ years Security Engineering
• 3+ years Cybersecurity
• Preferred: BS in Computer Science / Electrical or Computer Engineering / IT
• Current IAT Level III Certification
• MCSA, Linux+, CCNA or equivalent
• DoD Defensive Cyber Operations platforms knowledge
• Ability to research issues and work with minimal guidance
• Familiar with RMF process

Responsibilities

• Synchronize activities across Cyber Training Ranges and establish training infrastructure architectures
• Develop, coordinate and integrate plans for cyber training range infrastructure
• Design, develop, evaluate and modify systems throughout their lifecycle
• Support system specifications and design reviews, test plans and procedures
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system development and documentation

Assesses database architecture development requirements. Develops and implements standards for DOD cyber training range infrastructure, network architecture, cyber workforce training requirements and other requirements in support of TWC. Maintains and enhances the capability and capacity of the OPR to the DoD EA for Cyber Training Ranges. Designs, develops, evaluates, and modifies systems throughout their lifecycle. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Participates in system conceptual design and documentation. Supports establishing system specifications and collaborates with engineering teams to develop systems. Understanding of business process analysis and process improvement. Strong written and oral communications skills. • Understanding of US Army operations, Joint and Dept. of Defense organizations and United States Cyber Command. • Familiarity with system, network, and enterprise architecture. • 8+ Years of Experience in performing System Administration on Windows or Linux systems • 6+ Years of Experience in performing Security Engineering activities as a principal function • 3+ Years of Experience in Cybersecurity**Preferred Skills:** • B.S.
