Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Systems Architect in Colorado to design secure, scalable enterprise IT and cloud architectures with emphasis on DNS and cloud migration. You will work with Azure and AWS, assess current environments, and guide modernization efforts. The role requires 5+ years of experience, active TS or Q‑level clearance, U.S.

citizenship, and strong DNS expertise. You will mentor teams, present technical briefs, and collaborate with cross‑functional IT groups.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience.
• Active TS or Q‑level clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Deep expertise in DNS architecture.
• Hands‑on experience designing and implementing solutions in Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Cloud migration expertise.
• Strong understanding of on‑premises infrastructure.
• Familiarity with DNS‑related and network services technologies such as Infoblox or similar platforms.

• Assess existing system and business process architectures and recommend improvements.
• Ensure technical architecture teams deliver effective, scalable, and secure solutions.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain service design procedures and processes.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, test plans, and analytical briefings.
• Elicit and refine customer requirements and evaluate alternatives across software, platform, and network domains.
• Design, plan, and deploy DNS architectures.
• Implement and optimize monitoring tools and alerts to detect performance and security issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams.
• Support and guide cloud migration initiatives, including assessment and planning.
• Provide clear status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Coach and mentor less-experienced professionals.
