We are pleased to announce the immediate need for a Senior Systems Analyst to join our Ground Based Radar (GBR) Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) team in Colorado Springs, CO. The role will support 6 Ground Based Radars including 5 Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWR) and 1 Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization (PARCS) radar, and their associated Integration laboratories.
Responsibilities
- Work with the GMASS program and systems engineering, test, software, and hardware engineering teams to develop and implement approved modernization efforts within specified performance, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications through functional analysis, trend analysis, timeline analysis, and detailed trade studies.
- Provide detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for efficient solutions, including present and future capacity requirements.
- Perform analysis on real and simulated mission data, collect, clean, and analyze mission data, and formulate concept of operations.
- Monitor and report on Missile Warning and Missile Defense performance metrics.
- Consult with government and site radar partners to identify key analyses and Key Performance Parameters (KPIs).
- Prepare regular and ad‑hoc test analysis reports for laboratory and radar site testing.
- Identify patterns, trends, and insights to improve radar performance.
- Design and develop radar algorithms in MATLAB Modeling and Simulation (M&S) environment.
- Participate in Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, and Sprint Closeout.
- Document algorithm designs in System Modeling Language (SysML).
- Design unit and integration tests to verify developed models or scenarios.
- Brief findings to government and program leadership.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Physics, or an Engineering degree preferred).
- Professional experience: 5+ years for mid‑level or 18+ years for senior positions performing relevant work.
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to work daily in Colorado Springs, CO at various office locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying system analysis principles for research, hardware/software/systems design, testing, or operations.
- Ability to analyze user/mission needs and existing system capabilities and identify gaps.
- Innovative techniques to investigate solutions to system gaps, test needs, or problems.
- Knowledge of UEWR and PARCS radar systems and technologies supporting ground‑based space Missile Warning, Missile Defense, and Space Domain missions.
- Experience communicating at senior levels and meeting stakeholders to formulate, review, and execute technical plans and deliverables.
- Previous experience on SENSOR or SMORS contracts.
- Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to lead a task, project, or team with minimal guidance for more senior roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of MATLAB software analysis and Object‑Oriented Programming.
