Job summary

2HB Incorporated is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator in Annapolis Junction, MD. The position requires a TS/SCI/full-scope polygraph clearance and a strong background in Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and security compliance.

You will manage access, server resources, and data recovery, while documenting SOPs and enforcing policies. The candidate should have extensive system hardening experience, RMF understanding, and the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software interfaces,

Qualifications

• Requires 15+ years of System Administration experience or 20 years with a HS diploma.
• Experience with Windows Server, AD, Group Policy; proficient with Linux server administration.
• VMware ESXi/vCenter; storage (NetApp); networking; security scanning (Nessus/ACAS).
• Familiar with RMF security requirements and DoD IAT Level II certifications.
• Ability to document procedures, maintain systems, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure operability.

• Maintain baseline system security per policies.
• Manage accounts, access, and rights to systems and equipment.
• Plan and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures.

Core Tasks

• Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability.
• Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures.
• Maintain baseline system security according to organizational policies.
• Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
• Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot systems and servers.
• Comply with organization systems administration standard operating procedures.
• Implement and enforce local network usage policies and procedures.
• Manage system and server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
• Monitor and maintain system and server configurations.
• Perform repairs on faulty system and server hardware.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 15 years’ experience as a System Administrator, OR High school diploma and 20 years’ experience as a System Administrator
• Experience with Windows Sever Administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Familiarity with Linux Server Administration

• Ability to demonstrate cyber/IT related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem solving.
