Job summary

Saalex is seeking a Journeyman System Administrator to support the Airborne Instrumentation Division at NAS Point Mugu, CA. The role provides systems administration and cybersecurity support for Windows and UNIX/Linux, with RMF/ATO and IA activities.

Candidates need 5+ years of experience, a Security+ certification, and a Top Secret clearance. Onsite work, salary $125k-$150k, and collaboration with government stakeholders are included.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems administration in Windows and/or UNIX/Linux environments.
• Cert: CompTIA Security+ or DoD IA certification.
• Experience patching, troubleshooting, and software installs.
• Experience with RMF/IA/ACAS and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong CM/change control and documentation skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows and UNIX/Linux servers and infrastrucure.
• Support RMF documentation and system authorization efforts.
• Develop and submit accreditation documentation.
• Implement IA and RMF security controls.
• Patch systems, apply STIGs, remediate vulnerabilities.
• Review logs and perform corrective actions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and engineers.
• Maintain system documentation and SOPs.
