Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT systems and infrastructure in a mission-critical environment. You will manage Windows and Linux environments, VMware ESXi/vCenter, DNS/DHCP, and storage networks while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with systems administration or infrastructure roles.
• Experience with scripting in PowerShell or Bash.
• Experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter management.
• Experience in Windows Server and Linux environments (RHEL).
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and network services.
• Knowledge of NFS storage, distributed switches, virtual networking, VLANs, subnets, and IP addressing.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and enterprise applications.
• Configure, support, and optimize Windows and Linux operating environments.
• Manage VMware ESXi and vCenter; oversee DNS, DHCP, IP management.
• Install, rack, and maintain servers, switches, and storage arrays; perform RAID configuration.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and system continuity plans.
• Ensure systems adhere to security, compliance, and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations on new technologies and PoCs.
• Document systems, processes, and configurations.
