Job summary

GCI Incorporated is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage medium and small program networks, ensuring secure operations across multiple domains. You will perform system admin duties, coordinate with the IA team, and lead vulnerability scanning and remediation in a FedRAMP/GovCloud context.

The role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph, and offers opportunities to mentor junior staff while supporting mission-critical IT environments.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• Experience with NIST 800- series (800-171, 800-53) and FedRAMP in government environments.
• Mentoring junior administrators and potential supervisory oversight is a plus.
• Experience with IT procurement and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with peers, customers via Teams, Outlook, and other tools.
• Provide IT customer service, manage accounts and permissions.
• Conduct daily/weekly/monthly system scans and remediation.
• Apply patches and updates to systems and software.
• Attend meetings with support staff and program managers to set priorities.
• Investigate and troubleshoot IT issues.
• Develop and maintain system documentation.
• Install, modify, and repair hardware and software including networking gear.
• Support program logistics, procurement and property accountability.
• Monitor system health, backups, and log reviews.
• Maintain standalone systems with updates and virus definitions.
