Job summary

Corvid Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking a mid-level Systems Administrator to maintain the RMF posture across test environments, networks, and applications. The role supports RMF activities, incident handling, and policy updates as part of a security-focused team.

The candidate will work with ISSOs/engineers, perform vulnerability assessments, and help remediate deficiencies. A DoD Secret clearance and 8+ years (or 10+) of cybersecurity/IT experience are required; certifications are a

Qualifications

• BS degree and 8+ years in Cybersecurity/IT or 10+ years hands-on experience
• Active DoD Secret clearance (minimum)
• Certifications (Security+, GSEC, SSCP) preferred
• Willingness to perform security tasks outside specialty and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• System Admin experience with RHEL and Windows OS
• Experience using Nessus/ACAS or equivalent
• Knowledge of security technologies with hands-on support and SIEM
• Experience assessing systems with NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs/SRGs, SCAP/ STIG Viewer
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage schedules
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support RMF activities for various Information Systems
• Provide solutions to complex problems requiring expertise and creativity
• Support classified incident handling and investigations
• Assist with self-inspections to remediate deficiencies
• Collaborate with ISSOs, engineers, and developers to update policies and procedures
• Support risk and vulnerability assessments of information systems
