Job summary

Navstar Inc is seeking a high-caliber Systems Administrator to support a large, distributed network environment, including air-gapped domains and complex storage/network infrastructure. The role emphasizes security, rapid incident response, and collaboration with developers, testers, and engineers in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph, a technical bachelor’s degree, and 8+ years of SA experience in similar programs.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and at least 8 years of relevant SA experience.
• Experience as a systems administrator providing direct support to end users and technical staff.
• Proficiency with Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory.
• Experience with software/hardware deployment, patches, OS, and backup/restore.
• Familiarity with SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, Nessus.
• Knowledge of Red Hat and VMware.

Responsibilities

• Install applications, administer systems and processes, and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure server/desktop configurations are optimized and run continuously.
• Perform security management and performance optimization functions.
• Manage a web-based information storage/sharing system and related enclaves.
• Analyze system scans, patching, cert renewals, vulnerability assessments, and AD configurations.
• Document complex server/network environments for incident resolution.
• Communicate outages and upgrades with users and management.
