Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise systems and infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments. You will manage VMware ESXi/vCenter, NAS/NFS storage, DNS/DHCP, and security/compliance, while partnering with engineering and operations to deploy new technologies and perform root-cause analysis.

A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience, plus eligibility for U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure roles.
• Experience with scripting in PowerShell or Bash.
• Experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter management.
• Experience in Windows Server and Linux, including RHEL.
• Experience managing DNS, DHCP, and network services.
• Knowledge of NFS storage, distributed switches, VLANs, and IP addressing.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and enterprise applications.
• Configure, support, and optimize Windows and Linux operating environments.
• Manage VMware ESXi/vCenter
• Oversee DNS, DHCP, IP address management, and basic routing/subnetting
• Perform hardware installation, rack and stack, troubleshooting, and component replacement
• Install, mount, and maintain servers, switches, and storage arrays with RAID configuration
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and system continuity plans
• Ensure systems adhere to security, compliance, and organizational standards
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide root-cause analysis
• Support onboarding of new hardware, virtual machines, and applications
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations
• Collaborate with engineering and operations on new technologies and proofs-of-concept
