Job summary

Eagle One Solutions, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to provide advanced systems administration, operational support, and technical leadership for enterprise IT services across hybrid environments. You will ensure availability, performance, and security while guiding modernization initiatives and incident response.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, hands‑on Entra ID management, and strong collaboration with internal teams and vendors to deliver reliable IT services.

Qualifications

Eagle One Solutions, Inc., a Chenega Professional Services company, is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator who provides advanced systems administration, operational support, and technical leadership for enterprise IT services supporting back-office operations, public-facing systems, and research computing environments. Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support enterprise hardware, software, cloud, and hybrid computing environments to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
• Manage and support enterprise infrastructure, ensuring seamless interoperability and integration among business applications, research platforms, network-connected resources, and supporting technologies.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID services, including user provisioning and deprovisioning, identity lifecycle management, authentication services, role-based access controls (RBAC), and access governance activities.
• Provide operational support through ServiceNow-based service management processes, including incident response, service request fulfillment, problem resolution, and break/fix support.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure, systems, and application issues across geographically dispersed environments.
• Monitor system health, performance, and capacity utilizing enterprise monitoring tools; implement proactive maintenance and optimization activities to support operational continuity.
• Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, standard operating procedures, system configurations, architecture diagrams, and knowledge base articles.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support enterprise service delivery objectives, technology enhancements, and operational requirements.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities to minimize service disruptions and improve system reliability.
• Support infrastructure modernization initiatives, system upgrades, migrations, and implementation of new technologies in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, standards, and best practices while maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems and data.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior administrators and support personnel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience administering enterprise IT infrastructure, systems, and services in complex environments.
• Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments that include on-premises and cloud-based technologies.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), including identity lifecycle management, authentication, access controls, and directory services.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex server, application, infrastructure, and systems integration issues.
• Experience with enterprise service management tools such as ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management activities.
• Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configuration records.
• Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise systems administration, virtualization technologies, operating systems, storage platforms, and network-connected resources.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required government security clearance or public trust designation, if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or similar industry-recognized certification.
• Experience supporting federal government, healthcare, biomedical research, or scientific computing environments.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, or related Microsoft cloud technologies.
• Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical enterprise systems across multiple geographic locations.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, security compliance requirements, and access governance best practices.
• Experience with automation and scripting technologies such as PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.
• ITIL Foundation certification or experience supporting ITIL-based service delivery processes.
• Experience supporting infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, and digital transformation initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Advanced knowledge of enterprise systems administration, hybrid cloud environments, and IT infrastructure operations.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, identity and access management, authentication technologies, and RBAC principles.
• Experience supporting enterprise service management platforms, including ServiceNow.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across servers, applications, networks, and integrated systems.
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of system monitoring, performance tuning, and operational continuity best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
