Job description

Turnout is a modern consumer advocacy platform helping everyday Americans \"beat the system.\" We make complex government and financial processes - like Social Security disability, veterans benefits, tax debt relief, and Medicare advocacy - simple, approachable, and fair. Our friendly AI agent, Jake, works alongside expert advocates to guide clients through intimidating systems with clarity and confidence. Turnout has raised $35M so far and is backed by top VCs.

We’re growing fast and building a lovable brand people trust. We’re looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to help own and optimize the internal systems that power our sales, marketing, and operations teams.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a highly organized, systems-minded Senior Systems Administrator to own, maintain, and continuously improve Turnout’s internal tool stack. You’ll bring deep Salesforce administration skills - configuration, Flows, reports, dashboards, integrations, and troubleshooting - and use them to support Sales, Marketing, and Operations across the company.

This role is also directly our Systems Administrator based in Utah. We are looking for someone who’s as strong at leading people as they are at running systems: setting priorities, reviewing work, and being a reliable escalation point.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own day-to-day administration of Salesforce: users, permissions, objects, fields, page layouts, Flows, reports, and dashboards.
  • Configure and maintain solutions using native Salesforce tools first; escalated to light Apex/Visualforce/LWC customization only when declarative options are genuinely insufficient.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Ops leadership to support lead routing, pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Maintain data integrity, troubleshoot issues, and roll out system updates and enhancements.
  • Directly manage our Systems Administrator based in Utah - setting their priorities, reviewing their work, and acting as their go-to for questions and roadblocks.
  • Communicate regularly and clearly, so priorities stay aligned and nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Distribute work effectively across the team and make sure everyone understands how and why our processes work.
Integrations & Automation
  • Maintain and troubleshoot integrations between Salesforce and platforms like DocuSign, Dialpad, SMS Magic/Twilio, Chronicle, and Mailchimp.
  • Own DocuSign envelope templates, routing, and workflows for client agreements and internal approvals.
  • Monitor integrations for failures, delays, or data inconsistencies, and coordinate with vendors when third-party issues need escalation.
  • Set up and optimize automated marketing/comms events, triggers, and workflows.
System Optimization & Internal Tools
  • Monitor system performance and streamline operations and data flow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate their needs into effective system configuration.
  • Support telephony systems (Dialpad, SMS Magic, or similar), Slack, email platforms, and other internal productivity tools.
  • Manage system access, permissions, and role-based controls across platforms.
Technical Support & Documentation
  • Serve as the point of contact for system-related issues across Salesforce and other internal tools.
  • Troubleshoot workflow failures, integration issues, user access problems, and data discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain documentation for configurations, workflows, integrations, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Support onboarding and training for sales and operations teams on tool adoption.
Event & Campaign Management
  • Support marketing events and triggers for campaign strategies.
  • Partner with the marketing team to keep digital touchpoints functioning optimally.
  • Build and maintain reporting and dashboards for sales, operations, marketing, and leadership.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Salesforce Administrator or Senior Business Systems Administrator, with hands-on expertise managing Salesforce day to day.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring a direct report is required - this role directly manages our Systems Administrator, based in Utah.
  • Salesforce Administrator or Advanced Administrator certification is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable with light Apex/Visualforce/LWC customization when declarative tools fall short - this is a smaller part of the role, not the core of it.
  • Strong proficiency with integration/automation tools (Middleware tools, native SaaS integrations) and comfort troubleshooting vendor platforms.
  • Experience administering or supporting Health Cloud or healthcare-related platforms is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and CRM best practices.
  • Experience with telephony/comms tools such as Dialpad, SMS Magic, DocuSign, Mailchimp, and Slack.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical team members, and to coach a direct report effectively.
Why Turnout:
  • Salary: A competitive salary range of $90-120k per year.
  • Equity: Stock options to share in our success as we grow.
  • Unlimited PTO: Enjoy a flexible work-life balance with unlimited paid time off.
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Health, vision, and dental benefits to support your well-being.
  • Mission Driven Team: Be part of a team helping millions of Americans access justice and financial stability.
