Job summary

NVIDIA seeks an experienced Senior System Software Engineer to build the Halos OS for embedded and edge AI platforms. You will architect, design, and debug across QNX, Linux, and hypervisor environments, delivering safe, high‑assurance software for mixed‑criticality systems.

You will develop BSP, I/O virtualization, and platform drivers, leveraging formal methods to meet ISO 26262/21434 standards, and collaborate with ASIC, firmware, safety, security, and platform teams to optimize next‑gen

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s or equivalent experience in Computer Science.
• 8+ years of experience in System Software architecture for real-time embedded systems.
• Strong C and/or Ada/SPARK programming and debugging skills.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, or workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and debug system software for NVIDIA Halos OS across QNX, Linux, and hypervisor-based environments.
• Design and develop BSP and I/O Virtualization solutions, boot, driver, diagnostics, and platform software for mixed-criticality systems on NVIDIA SoCs and edge AI platforms.
• Develop safe and secure software aligned with ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 standards by maximising the use of Formal Methods.
• Bring up and optimise next-generation NVIDIA platforms, working closely with ASIC, firmware, OS, safety, security, and platform teams.
• Use GenAI and AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate debugging, test development, code review, documentation, requirements analysis, and workflow automation.
• Design debugging, tracing, logging, and performance-analysis solutions that improve developer experience.
