NVIDIA Corporation in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer to help architect and implement boot firmware for flagship CPU SoCs used in automotive, data center and AI workloads.

You will write in C and Python, work with ARM targets, Linux kernel software, and security guidelines. This role offers a base pay depending on Level 3 or 4, plus equity and benefits, with applications accepted until Aug 14, 2026.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in EE/CS/CE or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant proven experience in embedded software development.
  • Strong proficiency in C and Python programming and debugging skills.
  • Detailed and extensive experience with Linux kernel software is required.
  • Experience with ARM technologies and bare-metal programming is valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Define, decomposition and verification of boot firmware requirements and architecture.
  • Develop robust core boot features within security guidelines.
  • Perform failure analysis (FMEA/DFA) on bootloader functionality and architecture.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to accelerate development.
  • Validate features on pre-silicon simulation platforms prior to tapeout.
  • Support silicon verification and post-Si productization.
