Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated software engineer to join the Platform Software team in the United States. You will own end-to-end software integration across firmware, BSP, drivers, and GPU software, collaborating with partners and OEMs to deliver robust platforms.

The role emphasizes system-level debugging, triage, and cross-component integration, with opportunities to shape a fast-paced, global engineering effort and contribute to power/performance benchmarks and hardware compatibility.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong understanding of ARM microarchitecture and exception levels.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for automation and validation tooling.
• Experience with Windows and Linux kernel/hypervisor internals.
• Experience integrating drivers/firmware and debugging kernel components, especially Windows.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software integration strategy for firmware, BSP, drivers, GPU software, services, test and release systems.
• Lead system-level debugging of boot failures, hangs, crashes, unexpected resets, power-transition failures, and performance regressions.
• Use crash dumps, event logs, traces, UART output, firmware logs, telemetry, and diagnostics to isolate failures across system layers.
• Build automated failure classification distinguishing product defects from infrastructure and flaky-test failures.
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for escaped defects and recurring infra problems.
• Integrate OEM and partner software into the NVIDIA software stack to ensure compliance and performance benchmarks.
• Work closely with multi-functional teams to prioritize issues across BSP components—firmware, drivers, kernel, and hardware.
• Collaborate with architecture, silicon, firmware, and OS engineering teams to enable new features.
