Job summary

PDS Defense is seeking an engineer to lead the design, integration, and testing of SIGINT systems for airborne and space missions. You will work with sensor and data processing teams to ensure mission-aligned performance and documentation.

The role requires strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Onsite work is expected at the specified location with opportunities to mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Proven experience in design, integration, and testing of SIGINT systems.
• Strong understanding of sensor technologies, data acquisition, and data processing techniques.
• Knowledge of communication systems and data transmission protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Experience with software tools for simulation and modeling of sensor systems.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Job description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of advanced systems for various airborne and space missions. This role requires a deep understanding of SIGINT sensor technologies, data processing, system operation, mission requirements and SIGINT system architecture.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of SIGINT systems, ensuring compliance with mission requirements and specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensor and data processing systems
• Conduct performance analysis and testing of system, including environmental testing and data validation
• Develop documentation related to design, testing, and operational procedures
• Stay current with advancements in SIGINT systems and recommend improvements to existing systems
• Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and management activities
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
