Job summary

Leidos is seeking a System Architect in Huntsville, AL to lead the Mobile LBS radar program through design, development, and production. You will guide cross-disciplinary teams and ensure performance, cost, and schedule adherence.

You will mentor engineers, oversee baselines, and communicate progress to leadership while navigating complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 12+ years of applicable experience or 10+ years with MS degree.
  • Experience leading a team of engineers to develop solutions that meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Excellent technical judgment and ability to communicate complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with formal design review processes (PDR/CDR), configuration management, and risk management practices.
  • Strong desire to lead, guide, and mentor.
  • Active secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain secret security clearance.
  • You must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.

Leidos Low Band Surveillance program (LBS) is seeking a System Architect. This position will lead the Mobile LBS system proposal, design, and production phases of the program. This is a large, multi-phase radar program with concurrent development, test, production, and sustainment activities. You will serve as the technical authority across multiple engineering disciplines, ensuring design integrity, technical performance, and disciplined engineering execution. This role requires a systems-minded leader with the ability to direct technical work based on cost, schedule, risk, and requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

Pay Range:Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
