Job summary

Advantest seeks a System Application Engineer to support next-generation ATE solutions and semiconductor device testing for HPC and AI-focused applications. You will work across customers, R&D, COE, Sales, and Marketing in a cross-functional and international environment, applying deep V93000 platform expertise to guide test challenges from concept to production.

The role targets a senior engineer with strong customer presence, ownership mindset, and the ability to translate complex requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on with the Advantest V93000 platform.
• Solid understanding of wafer sort methodologies, KGD, and production test flows.
• Strong programming in Java, Python/Perl, and C/C++.
• Knowledge of test quality metrics (CP, CPK, correlation).
• Demonstrated leadership and ownership mindset.
• Experience with pre-sales activities or technical customer leadership.
• Exposure to MBIST, Logic BIST, PCIe, eFuse, iJTAG.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test methods and tooling (Java / C++) for digital and mixed-signal devices on the Advantest V93000 platform.
• Support customers in debugging and resolving SmarTest software and system-level issues.
• Document and communicate complex test concepts through technical docs and customer-facing presentations.
• Train customers on new software and hardware capabilities from R&D and centers.
• Collaborate with COE, R&D, and global SAE teams to translate customer requirements into robust solutions.
• Represent Advantest’s strengths and roadmap direction in customer engagements.
• Assist pre-sales and NPI activities including presentations, benchmarks, and analyses.
