Job summary

Intone Inc. in Lansing, Michigan, is seeking a System Analyst 6 for a 12+ month contract to work with business stakeholders, understand objectives, and support the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of information systems and applications.

Responsibilities include analyzing objectives, identifying problems, writing detailed user needs and program requirements, reviewing system capabilities, and coordinating with teams to develop, test, and deploy improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 5+ years of ADO proficiency.
• Proven experience with complex concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT industry.
• Advanced experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals independently.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively with management and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of computer systems capabilities and limitations.
• Knowledge of applicable programming languages.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Knowledge of computer operating systems.
• Ability to analyze systems and procedures.
• Ability to write and revise standards and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business objectives, identify problems, and perform studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternative solutions.
• Confer with personnel across organizational units to analyze current procedures and determine input/output requirements.
• Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
• Review system capabilities and scheduling limitations to assess feasibility of requested changes.
• Study existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develop new systems to improve production.
• Plan and prepare technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals documenting program development.
• Upgrade systems and correct errors to maintain system performance after implementation.
• Direct and coordinate work of others to develop, test, install, and modify programs as needed.
• Provide technical assistance and support for applications and hardware problems and information sharing with external entities.
• Provide field coordination and planning for effective use of management information systems.
• Prepare charts, diagrams, tables, and flowcharts to document system designs.
• Detail input and output record formats for computer programs.
• Assist in formulating logical descriptions of problems and devising optimum solutions.
• Support the design, development, and maintenance of various computer applications.
• Provide support and recommendations for information technology systems processes.
