Job summary

GaN Corporation in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior System Administrator to support an Army customer. The role requires delivering and supporting Windows, Linux and cloud infrastructures, with a proven track record in designing systems to meet complex requirements.

Responsibilities include implementing DoD-compliant deployments, virtualization, DevSecOps, and documentation artifacts. Active security clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems (or related field).
• Active CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent or greater.
• Must be US Citizen and able to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create solutions that align IT systems with the needs of the organization.
• Design virtual systems to include both servers and desktops.
• Design the deployment and maintenance of highly available virtual desktop solutions.
• Support implementation of the Software Defined Data Center using VMware technologies.
• Support the deployment of systems and services within a commercial cloud service such as Azure or AWS.
• Design and support system engineering solutions.
• Design, deploy and support DevSecOps environments.
• Must be able to deploy and maintain solutions within DoD compliance parameters.
• Develop documentation artifacts and plans.
• Set standards for resource and capacity management of all enterprise systems.
• Provide performance tuning strategies and their implementation.
• Participate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery solutions.
• Work with managers to insure projects are completed successfully and on time.
