Develop production quality real-time machine control software applications primarily in C/C++. Develop major and minor enhancements as well as bug fixes. Work closely with product team—including software, hardware engineers, process engineers, scientists, and marketing—to develop requirements and design definition for software features. Work with product support to investigate and resolve field-reported issues on released products. Work with software quality group to test on both implanter hardware and product simulator. This role may include travel to customer sites, foreign and domestic locations.
Minimum: BS in a related engineering or physics degree with experience in software development for electro-mechanical systems. MS or PhD in this area is desirable.
8-10 years of experience in developing, documenting, and testing software for semiconductor manufacturing equipment or similar complex electro-mechanical equipment.

U.S. Base Salary Range: $141,913.76 - $212,870.64. This range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work location, and internal equity. Base pay is one part of the U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and a comprehensive benefits package (for regular employees working 20+ hours a week).
