Control Point Associates in Warren, NJ is seeking an experienced Survey Technician for office-based technical work focused on boundary analysis, computations, and plan development. This role does not involve field work or entry-level CAD drafting. If you excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you.

We value 5-10+ years of surveying experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and strong math skills. LSIT preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of surveying experience with a focus on office-based technical work.
• LSIT preferred or equivalent licensure.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to produce clear, accurate plan presentations.
• Knowledge of field survey operations in engineering/construction.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to meet project deadlines within budget.
• Self-starter who works well independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Deed and reference map plotting.
• Preparation and set-up of survey data for field crews.
• Post survey field data analysis and conversions as necessary.
• Construction layout calculations, as-built surveys, and sketches.
• Grade sheet preparation.
• ALTA/NSPS land title survey preparation.
• Topographic analysis.
• Preparation of Metes & Bounds descriptions.
• Preparation of FEMA Elevation certificates.
• Preparation of Subdivision Plans and Lot Consolidation Plans.
• Oversee and mentor CAD Drafters – review plans for accuracy and conformance.
• Assist with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers.
• Create mapping from field data and reference maps.
• Accountable for plan presentation.
• Survey traverse adjustments.
