Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers seeks an experienced Land Surveyor to lead the Northern California Civil survey group and build a Bay Area survey practice. You will mentor staff, oversee boundary/topographic surveys, and collaborate with civil engineers across Northern California to support KPFF-designed projects.

Ideal candidates hold a California license, have 10+ years of survey experience, and can market services to clients while managing complex projects with technical oversight.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of survey experience with minimum 2 years as Project Surveyor.
• Licensed California Land Surveyor with strong reputation in the field.
• Proven experience in managing and leading teams of professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to market services to clients effectively.
• Valid driver’s license for work-related travel or equipment use

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of surveyors, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to engage with clients and maintain relationships.
• Write project proposals and collaborate with clients to meet surveying needs.
• Function as surveyor of record on survey projects throughout Northern California, providing technical guidance.
