You will operate total stations, GNSS receivers, laser scanners, and data collectors, supervise crew safety, train junior staff, and ensure data quality and on-time delivery.

This traveling role requires up to 80% travel statewide with opportunities for cross-regional projects.

Qualifications

• Field surveying experience with boundary/topographic surveys.
• Familiarity with ASCE 38-22 subsurface utility standards preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% across VA and beyond.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead a survey crew in field surveys and data collection.
• Operate and maintain survey instruments and data collectors.
• Prepare field notes and sketches documenting activities.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements and schedules.
• Assist in training junior crew members and evaluating performance.
• Maintain safety protocols and PPE inventory.
• Communicate issues promptly to the Survey Team Leader.
• Support project progress and budget management.
