Job summary

SkyGrid, LLC, a Wisk Company, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Surveillance) to lead surveillance system activities across the company portfolio in a role that blends architecture, MBSE, and certification planning.

You will develop requirements, use cases, and functional architectures for surveillance technologies such as ADS-B, Radar, DAA/ACAS, and transponders within a Model-Based Systems Engineering framework while collaborating with IPT leads and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field
• 7+ years of experience in a highly technical, aerospace-related industry
• 5+ years in Systems Engineering position
• Hands-on experience with surveillance avionics systems and sensor fusion technologies (e.g., ADS-B, Radar, TCAS/ACAS)
• Familiarity with ARP 4754B and ARP 4761 requirements and safety reviews

Responsibilities

• Capture, derive, and manage system and subsystem requirements for traffic surveillance based on operational needs and regulatory standards
• Develop and maintain SysML models using MBSE methodologies
• Support system architecture definition and technical integration for surveillance sensors and systems (ADS-B In/Out, Radar, DAA/ACAS)
• Advance design through verification, validation, and certification
• Coordinate cross-functional activities and supervise junior/mid-level systems engineers
