Job summary

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Ability to effectively assist in surgical procedures.
• Knowledge of normal/abnormal anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a preceptor to lower-level surgical technologists.
• Anticipates needs of the surgeon during procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and monitors breaks in technique.

Skills

Ability to provide comfort and support for perioperative patients

Knowledge of sterile techniques

Completion of a formal, structured program for Surgical Technology
