Corewell Health is seeking a Senior Surgical Technologist to maintain and prepare the surgical suite, handle intraoperative instruments, and maintain sterility while adapting to changing procedure conditions.

The role emphasizes knowledge of procedures, acting as a preceptor, and collaborating with management and education teams on surgical technology curriculum. A strong credential set is required, with BLS and CST certification being essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program (military, etc.) Preferred.
• 3 years of relevant experience.
• 3 years of independent Surgical Technologist experience.
• Certification must be maintained throughout employment to maintain Senior status Required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire Required.
• NBSTSA or NCCT (CST) certified upon Hire Required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare the surgical suite and intraoperative handling of instruments.
• Maintain sterile field and adapt to changing conditions during procedures.
• Provide knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols and act as a preceptor.
