Qualifications

• Must obtain UCIMC Allied Health Privileges prior to hire.
• Clear communication of medical information to diverse people.
• Maintain clinical competence in specialty patient care.
• Trained in use of specialized medical equipment and procedures.
• Knowledge of PA billing practices.
• California PA license active at hire date.
• NCCPA certification maintained.
• Current BLS and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Consult and inpatient care management for surgical patients.
• Coordinate scheduling of operations and procedures.
• Inpatient sign-out/hand-off and rounds with surgical teams.
• Triage calls, review labs, obtain histories, and perform daily exams.
• Discharge planning, H&P orders, and medication instructions.
