Job summary

Roche in California seeks a scientist to design surface chemistries and workflows for NGS consumables, enabling robust device performance and reliable sequencing.

You will develop assays to characterize surface modifications and interactions, drive molecular-level surface engineering, and analyze complex datasets using JMP and Python. You will also support design transfers from R&D to Ops and present findings to multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD with several years in chemistry or surface science.
• Deep understanding of chemical principles at biomolecule-device interfaces.
• Proficiency in JMP and Python to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop surface modifications for NGS consumables.
