Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Program Manager to lead software-enabled inventory optimization across our global operations. You will coordinate with Inventory Control Operators, product managers, and software engineers to align scope, schedules, and resources with business goals.

You will drive end-to-end solutions, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams in Seattle, Huntsville, and Space Coast locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in program management in supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing.
  • Ability to create and manage detailed program plans and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with software engineering teams and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and drive end-to-end adopted solutions and implementation plans to optimize inventory management within the supply chain.
  • Drive Inventory Control Operations priorities and improvements to weekly throughput metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage software development plans for supply chain initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation, milestones tracking, risk management, and proactive communication for the Inventory program.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Supply Chain Operations, and Enterprise Technology to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Identify and resolve program risks and dependencies to ensure on-time delivery of software solutions.
  • Track key metrics and provide transparent status updates to stakeholders.
  • Foster continuous improvement across engineering and operations teams.

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Job Description

As part of a dedicated team of engineers, specialists, and operations professionals, you will play a pivotal role in driving software execution within Blue Origin's supply chain organization. We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Program Manager with a talent for planning, organizing, and delivering complex projects to optimize Inventory Strategy and Operations. You will work closely with Inventory Control Operators, product managers, and cross-functional teams, and software engineers (SDEs) to create detailed optimization, improvement and development plans, ensure project alignment with business goals, and bring organizational excellence to the supply chain and inventory team.

Location: Seattle, WA, Huntsville, AL or Space Coast, FL (relocation assistance provided)

Travel: Some travel may be required to visit Blue Origin warehouse or operations sites (<10%).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Plan and drive end-to-end adopted solutions and implementation plans to revolutionize inventory management within the supply chain org.
  • Drive Inventory Control Operations priorities and are responsible for efficiency improvements to weekly throughput metrics in order to make Inventory Quality world class.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to get requirements and then partner with product management and software engineering teams to develop and manage comprehensive software development plans for supply chain initiatives, ensuring scope, schedules, and resources are aligned.
  • Bring structure and organization to the Inventory program through clear documentation, tracking of milestones, risk management, and proactive communication.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Supply Chain Operations, and Enterprise Technology teams to translate business requirements into clear, executable technical deliverables.
  • Identify and resolve program risks, impediments, and cross-team dependencies proactively to ensure on-time delivery of software solutions.
  • Experience working directly with Operators in the field
  • Track key metrics and program progress, providing transparent status updates and driving accountability among team members and stakeholders.
  • Cultivate a continuous improvement mindset across engineering and operations teams, seeking opportunities to enhance development efficiency, software quality, and team collaboration.
  • Maintain strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, acting as a bridge to ensure clarity around goals, commitments, and progress.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, supply chain, business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in program management or similar roles within supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage detailed program plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and deliver complex projects.
  • Experience working with software engineering teams, participating in Agile or similar methodologies.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to drive alignment across multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with supply chain software systems (e.g., inventory/warehouse management, procurement, or transportation/logistics platforms).
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Experience with software project management tools, Agile frameworks, and technical documentation.
  • Track record of delivering programs in fast-paced, high-growth, or complex operational environments.
  • Skilled at managing competing priorities and change in dynamic settings.

Base Pay Range for: WA applicants is $124,476.00 - $174,265.35
