As a Senior Supply Chain Planner you will assist and sometimes lead in the planning functions at the Neckarbischofsheim site in Germany. You will take responsibility for production and material planning of multiple product lines. You will participate for the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning Process (SIOP), interfacing with BU Marketing and Sales in order to create and maintain sales forecasts, ensuring alignment with BU and corporate targets. You will serve as an advocate for total customer satisfaction by focusing on the customer’s date requirement and communicating that requirement to the operations team. You will assist in the development and execution of the Supply Chain Planning processes Neckarbischofsheim and more widely in the Systems Operations Group.This role provides the opportunity to be a key influencer in the development and continuous improvement of the supply chain planning process as part of the Systems Operations Group within Microchip. Further, the role provides real opportunity for career development and progress towards future management roles.**Main Duties and Responsibilities:*** Review MRP output to ensure appropriate responses to demand.* Work with Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time.* Support creation of production orders for manufacturing and sales order scheduling.* Cross-train with existing members of staff to help cover sickness/vacation periods.* Assist and support all members of the planning team in Neckarbischofsheim* Assist in the development of junior staff* Produce and analyse data relating to demand, on time delivery and inventory.* Assist with preparation of executive reporting.* Participate in SIOP process* Maintain Customer demand profiles in Smoothie forecasting tool and Microsoft AX* Gather information relating to the forecast from various sources including meetings with BU representatives and customers.* Set inventory levels in alignment with above.* Provide clear build requirements/forecast to internal and external manufacturing partners.
