Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking an experienced Sr Supply Chain Specialist to partner on analytics for inventory planning, demand forecasting, and materials management. You will build executive dashboards, perform complex data analysis, and drive visibility and efficiency across the supply chain.

The role emphasizes negotiating spot buys, driving supplier performance, and leading projects within the Florida Power & Light organization.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in supply chain or analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute the materials management process for assigned units.
• Initiates, negotiates and contracts spot-buys and manages supplier relationships.
• Analyzes responses to complex bid requests, distills commercial differences, and makes succinct recommendations for contract award.
• Prepares complex materials supply agreements containing unique terms and conditions with little or no management oversight.
• Conducts complex negotiations successfully under aggressive time demands.
• Negotiates and executes purchase orders and resolves invoice discrepancies.
• Leads and participates on materials management project teams.
• Recommends and communicates materials management strategy, progress and results to ISC management.
• Provides market data to support supplier selection, qualification and on-going performance management.
• Conducts business dealings with integrity and regard for corporate guidelines, legal and environmental regulations.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
