Job summary

Avanos Medical in the Atlanta area seeks a Sr Accountant Supply Chain to provide cost and financial analysis for manufacturing costs and to support cost control across mills. The role partners with operations and requires independent problem solving.

The candidate should bring a strong background in general ledger, US GAAP and cost accounting principles, with experience in ERP systems such as SAP and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably Accounting or Finance.
• At least 5 years of professional experience.
• Advanced knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting processes.
• Strong proficiency in US GAAP reporting and management reporting needs.
• Ability to leverage SAP and MS Office to support business execution and measurement of results.
• Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and concepts, plus cost analysis experience.
• Proven track record of leading change and implementing continuous improvement projects.
• Strong business acumen, analytical skills and accountability.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company, including senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost and financial analysis for manufacturing costs to assist management in driving improvements.
• Partner with operations teams and work independently to drive issues to resolution.
• Train and develop others on financial principles and lead or support projects.
• Support large, complex mills within a sector under supervision of the Assistant Controller.
