Medtronic is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineering Manager for our Colorado Campus (Boulder, Parker, Louisville). You will lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and drive supplier quality improvements, CAPA, and regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring conformance to purchasing controls while advancing Medtronic's quality strategy and patient safety priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science with 7+ years in Engineering/Quality in regulated industry; 5+ years leadership.
• MBA or advanced degree; ASQ CQE/CQA/CSQP; Six Sigma/Lean certification.
• Degrees earned outside the U.S. must meet 8 CFR 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers across multiple sites to ensure quality components.
• Develop monitoring systems for supplier performance, CAPA, and change control.
• Drive cross-functional investigations of supplier quality issues.
• Oversee internal/external audits and FDA inspections compliance.

In this exciting role as a Senior Supplier Quality Engineering Manager, you will have responsibility for leading teams of Supplier Quality Engineers located at our Colorado Campus (Boulder, Parker, Louisville sites). Your team will be accountable for changes to existing supplied products and processes, as well as oversight of performance, improvement activities, and quality risk reductions initiatives. You will also lead the oversight of external supplied products ensuring conformance to purchased materials and management of nonconforming product in compliance to Medtronic Purchasing Controls, FDA, international requirements and Quality System Regulations. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Manage a team of Supplier Quality Engineers that are responsible for ensuring delivery of quality components, materials, and services in compliance to purchasing controls
• Develop/maintain monitoring systems to track supplier & team performance (training, nonconformances, open actions, Supplier CAPA, supplier change control, Global Supplier Quality improvement programs, goals, etc.)
• Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and manufacturing functions to investigate and resolve supplier-related quality or compliance issues discovered during incoming inspection and/or production
• Lead team in corrective/preventive actions to resolve supplier-related issues (e.g., nonconformances, Supplier CAPA activities, audit findings, complaint investigations, etc.).
• Ensures compliance to purchasing controls, including supporting internal, external notified body audits, and FDA inspections and outcomes
• Manage performance, develop talent, engagement and inclusion, communicate business and operational developments, plan, prioritize and/or direct the responsibilities of direct reports.
• Accountable for mentoring, developing and coaching staff on meeting / exceeding performance expectations and defined objectives
• Provide leadership to staff ensuring the prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives to include defining performance goals and targets, conducting performance reviews, and staff 1:1s to guide performance management and employee development efforts and manage toward departmental goals

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with 7+ years of work experience in Engineering, Quality, and/or experience in a regulated industry with 5+ years of leadership experience OR Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with 5+ years of work experience in Engineering, Quality, and/or experience in a regulated industry with 5+ years of leadership experience
• Nice to Have Requires an MBA, master's in engineering, science or technical field Requires an ASQ CQE, CQA and/or CSQP certification First Time Quality (FTQ) Coach / Six Sigma / Lean Green Belt or Black Belt certified Strong communication, organizational and project planning skills Demonstrated track record of effectively influencing and negotiating with others and leading effective/successful change initiatives Proven judgment in assessing risks and communicating complex technical challenges to upper management. Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills for the team of direct reports.
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$171,200.00 - $256,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
