Job summary

OTR Engineered Solutions is seeking a knowledgeable Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure wheel and tire components and assemblies meet all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, engineering, sourcing, and customers to prevent defects, drive corrective actions, and support successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supplier quality, product quality, manufacturing quality, or quality engineering.
• Experience resolving complex quality problems through observation, data analysis, testing, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure purchased components, internally manufactured products, and finished wheel and tire assemblies meet drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Lead structured problem solving for supplier, product, manufacturing, warranty, and customer concerns using 8D, 5-Why, fishbone, fault-tree analyses, and related methods.
• Develop and maintain supplier scorecard system to evaluate quality, delivery, responsiveness, and corrective-action effectiveness.
• Lead supplier quality activities including qualification, audits, corrective-action requests, and supplier development.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes with supplier readiness, inspection requirements, and validation.
