Job summary

advantestcareers is seeking an On-site Supplier Quality Engineer to collaborate with production teams and drive quality improvements within SEM manufacturing. The role focuses on real-time inspection, CAPA closure, and process optimization.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of hands-on quality control experience in manufacturing, a strong root-cause mindset, and proficiency with QMS (ISO-9001). IPC-A-610 CIS knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, quality training acceptable.
• Minimum of 6 years hands-on with product quality control within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Quality Management System (Ex. ISO-9001, etc.)
• Effective root cause analysis skills
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to details
• IPC-A-610 CIS

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with production supervisors and workers for real-time inspection and verification points during processing.
• Drive closure with AIS stakeholders when questions arise during assembly
• Verify worker compliance with manufacturing procedures
• Monitor reaction plans when product is found non-compliant (rework plan, MRB, etc.)
• Lead quality product training with operators
• Evaluate process for optimization, i.e. mistake proofing, variation tracking, task efficiencies
• Engage with SEM Process and SEM Quality Engineers with CAPA reports
• Oversee SEM RMA process for customer returns
• Maintain RMA Tracking Log
• Monitor RMA TAT metric
