Job summary

Texas Hydraulics, Inc. seeks a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality activities and ensure purchased materials meet requirements. You will work with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to establish expectations and monitor performance.

Reporting to the Director of Quality, you will establish supplier standards, drive corrective actions, and support the internal QMS. Strong root-cause analysis and auditing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with related experience in quality assurance or supplier quality.
• 3–5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve performance.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and quality management systems.
• Experience with PPAP, FAI, FMEA, and process control plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality and development initiatives, including qualification and onboarding.
• Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Maintain supplier scorecards and report performance to leadership.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations on technical requirements.
• Lead root-cause analyses (8D, 5 Whys, fishbone) and corrective actions.
• Ensure alignment with ISO 9001 and THMS requirements.
• Provide training to suppliers and internal teams on PPAP/FAI/FMEA.
• Support internal QMS audits and mentor quality personnel.
