Job summary

CooperSurgical in Trumbull, CT (hybrid) seeks a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to provide quality oversight of external manufacturing and supplier quality, ensuring products meet stringent standards. You will serve as the primary technical interface with external suppliers and drive quality systems and continuous improvement across the supply base.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in supplier quality or external manufacturing in a regulated industry.
• Experience with contract manufacturers and global suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee external manufacturing suppliers and establish robust supplier controls.
• Lead quality reviews with external partners to ensure compliance with quality systems.
• Provide day-to-day quality oversight of contract manufacturing operations.
• Review quality data, deviations, CAPAs, and drive continuous improvement.
• Approve suppliers based on risk and performance.
• Lead PPAP/FAI reviews and qualification of new products.
• Investigate supplier-related issues and implement quality improvements.
• Support audits, MRB activities, and change controls.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal SOPs.
• Coordinate with R&D on NPI timelines and tech transfers.
• Travel up to 30% for on-site supplier visits.
