Job summary

SII Group USA delivers engineering and technology services to aerospace, defense, transportation, electronics, and other highly regulated industries. We are seeking an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Engineer who will work directly at a strategic electronics supplier’s facility to oversee production execution, manufacturing quality, and delivery performance.

The objective is to ensure products meet approved requirements, proactively address production risks, and achieve delivery commitments.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in PCB/PCBA manufacturing, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, or supplier development.
• Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing and PCBA production processes.
• Knowledge of IPC standards.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Experience managing non-conformances, rework, containment, and corrective actions.
• Proficiency with 8D, 5 Why, Root Cause Analysis, or similar problem-solving methodologies.
• Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously at a supplier facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production planning and execution against delivery commitments.
• Identify manufacturing constraints, material shortages, and production risks.
• Track recovery plans and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Oversee inspection activities at incoming, in-process, and final stages.
• Verify compliance with drawings, specs, processes, and quality requirements.
• Manage non-conforming products, rework, containment, and corrective actions.
• Conduct operational reviews with supplier management.
• Monitor production, delivery, and quality performance.
• Coordinate issue resolution with supply chain, engineering, and quality stakeholders.
• Escalate issues impacting conformity, continuity, or delivery.
• Provide weekly status reports, action trackers, risk updates, and quality issue logs.
• Recommend sustainable manufacturing and supplier-performance improvements.
