Job summary

Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Senior Specialist in Supplier Quality Development to lead quality performance with suppliers, analyze defects, and implement robust countermeasures that prevent recurrence.

The role includes audits, dimensional checks, and development of special inspections to assure part quality for production. The position reports to the Assistant Manager and requires confident coaching of less-experienced engineers, along with adherence to the Supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in automotive quality control or inspection.
• Experience performing quality analysis and collaborating in a team.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, MSA, QSA, PFMEA.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of GD&T (GD&T).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop prevention-oriented incoming-parts inspection processes to prevent production delays.
• Manage supplier quality performance and follow up on countermeasures.
• Communicate quality concerns to suppliers in a timely manner.
• Review supplier defect data and Pareto analyses for root-cause and permanent countermeasures.
• Lead onsite supplier quality audits and mentor engineers.
• Ensure compliance with Supplier Quality Assurance Manual requirements.
