Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer to drive production flow of critical propulsion and casting suppliers across the business lines. You will collaborate with internal engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to implement effective supplier strategies and expedite qualification and implementation with suppliers.

The role requires 6+ years in supplier quality and industrialization, experience with propulsion

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with propulsion engines, mechanical casting manufacturing, CAD, or GD&T.
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Ability to relocate to onsite in Costa Mesa, CA if not local.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage propulsion engines and mechanical casting commodities/subcategories to execute supplier production strategies (from NPI to full production) across Anduril’s business lines
• Act as a force multiplier for the Supply Chain team and commodity strategy with ownership, proactivity, technical excellence, creativity, self-direction, and courage
• Vet suppliers' production capabilities, factory layout, facilities, and workforce for inclusion in the Approved Supplier List
• Support Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) to ensure suppliers adhere to part quality criteria
• Lead bringing up new production tooling and lines at supplier sites to meet performance, quality, and demand requirements
• Coordinate capacity expansion readiness and production ramp-up at supplier facilities
• Establish and drive process performance and controls (SPC) reviews at suppliers
• Identify and drive product and process improvements, factory layout optimization, and cost reductions to improve cycle time and reduce supply risk
• Support SQE with root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions at supplier sites

ABOUT THE JOB

The Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer is a high-profile, cross-functional role that enables development and production flow of Anduril’s critical supply base. You will collaborate with internal engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams as well as suppliers to implement effective supply chain strategies to achieve production goals. You will expedite qualification and implementation of product designs with suppliers, optimizing for quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across the product lifecycle.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
• 6+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment
• Experience with propulsion engines, mechanical casting manufacturing, CAD, or GD&T
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
• Ability to relocate to onsite in Costa Mesa, CA if not local

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or metallurgical/materials engineering or related field
• Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or related industries
• Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications
• Experience developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance

US Salary Range

$146,000 - $194,000 USD

The salary range is an estimate based on compensation factors and may vary with experience, education, and skills. Eligible candidates may receive equity as part of total compensation. Anduril offers comprehensive benefits for full-time employees.
