• Supervising or leading professional accountants and financial management personnel responsible for general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, financial statements, and accounting operations.
• Requires 24 accounting hours or CPA/CIA certification as per specialty requirements.
• GAAP and federal financial reporting principles knowledge expected.
• Experience overseeing year-end/month-end close and coordinating audits.

Responsibilities

• Supervise accounting and financial management staff handling general ledger, reporting, reconciliations and financial statements.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls to improve reporting accuracy and compliance.
• Provide authoritative guidance on GAAP and federal standards and resolve complex issues.
• Oversee year-end and month-end close processes and coordinate with audits and program offices.
