Job summary

Batson-Cook Construction seeks a Senior Superintendent to lead major projects in the Dallas, TX area. You will direct on-site teams, coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors to drive schedule, budget, and safety outcomes, while maintaining exceptional client communication.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of progressively responsible construction experience. Travel may be required as projects demand, with a focus on delivering high-quality facilities that stand

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience.

Responsibilities

• Authorize and approve project personnel transactions and field design change requests.
• Communicate and provide clear direction to the project team including subcontractors, vendors, owners, and architects.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions such as scheduling, engineering, and material control.
• Develop and implement project procedures and standards to ensure compliance.
• Enforce safety policies and lead job safety meetings.
• Supervise salaried and craft employees and other contractors as required.
• Provide technical assistance and interpret drawings as needed.
• Oversee construction to align with design, budget and schedule, interfacing with clients and officials.
• Must be willing to travel as required.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers to maintain relationships and resolve issues.

We are currently seeking a Senior Superintendent in Dallas, TX. to join our family.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include

• Authorize and/or approve project personnel transactions, purchase requisition, field design change requests, etc.
• Communicate and give clear direction and leadership to project team, including subcontractors, vendors, owners, architects, etc.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control and may provide day-to-day direction of project administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.
• Assist in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc. Ensure compliance with established procedures.
• Follow, implement and enforce safety policies, (i.e. job safety meetings, proper use of safety equipment, compliance by subs/suppliers.etc.)
• Supervise salaried employees as needed, craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
• Provide technical assistance, (i.e. interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc.) as required.
• Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, government officials, other contractors, etc.
• Must be willing to travel if required.
• Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, employees). Maintain relationship to ensure needs are met and problems/conflicts are resolved.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University and 8+ years of progressively responsible experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
