Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Engineer in Clark, New Jersey, to tackle the complexities of decarbonization and modernize utility systems. You will work closely with T&D delivery teams and provide independent technical expertise on major programs.

The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of experience, a relevant degree, and strong knowledge of high voltage components. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a salary range of $151,400 to $200,000.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of Substation Physical design experience with utilities.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain it.
• Experience in developing substation designs from conceptual to execution.

Responsibilities

• Support utility/developer clients in Substation Physical design.
• Provide engineering oversight as an independent technical advisor.
• Mentor team members across North America and globally.

Skills

Communication and technical writing skills

Advanced knowledge of high voltage substation components

Experience in substation design

Education

Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering
