PDS - 3/ Power Delivery Substation

This position is not eligible for recruiting or sourcing by outside parties.

Job Details

Hybrid in Knoxville office with occasional overnight trips to sites in Arkansas, Southeast Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Responsibilities

• Design physical equipment/systems for high, medium, or low voltage electrical substations.
• Create detailed drawings such as switchgear, transformers, bus work, conduit, grounding, and lightning/static protection.
• Generate One Lines, Electrical Arrangements, Conduit/Grounding layouts/detail, Equipment Plans/Elevations, and Bills of Material using AutoCAD or Microstation.
• Lead and mentor team members and contribute to project leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of physical design experience for electrical substations or related power/process plant design.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required; must have or be able to obtain licensure in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation design software.
• Strong learning mindset, self‑starter, mentor, and leader qualities.
