Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree from a 4 year college or university.
• Experience in utility construction estimating.
• At least 5 years of substation estimating experience.
• Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to ensure all requirements are captured for bidding.
• Aggressively follow up with subcontractors to ensure bids are received.
• Collaborate with Project Management teams to follow up on bids and budgets to close the business.
• Review bid requirements for projects that are approximately $500K or less and document all aspects of the project.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree from a 4 year college or university
