Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Substation Project Engineer to lead multi-discipline design efforts and coordinate client relations within the Power market sector. You will mentor staff, drive technical deliverables, and ensure code-compliant design sessions on project sites.

Requires a PE license and 10+ years of substation design experience; proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, and related tools is preferred. This on-site role is based in Seattle, WA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in substation design.
• PE license recognized by the licensing board (PE or P.Eng).
• Experience with Power Market Sector design software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the work of design engineers with a multi-discipline team throughout project development.
• Establish client relations and participate in meetings across marketing, design, and production.
• Serve as technical lead within the project execution team.
• Participate in code-compliance reviews with agencies.
• Conduct design development and contract document sessions on site with PM and disciplines.
• Coordinate workload to deliver project deliverables on schedule.
• Lead activity of other engineers and mentor staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
