Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Senior Substation Physical Engineer for its Energy & Power Group in Portland, Oregon. This role involves working closely with utility clients, mentoring teams, and providing engineering direction on substations and associated designs.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight years’ experience in substation design and a strong background in High Voltage equipment. The position offers a base salary range of $132,900 to $176,000 and an array of health benefits, including unlimited paid time off.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Substation Physical design experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the USA or ability to obtain it.
• Capability to perform QA/QC on design and construction specifications.

Responsibilities

• Support utility clients and operations teams.
• Mentor team members across North America and globally.
• Review related equipment vendor specifications.
